Sixth Form Aims

The sixth form at Bourne Academy is a rewarding place to study. You have the option of studying either A levels or vocational qualifications, both of which have excellent outcomes. Our enrichment programmes of study aim to equip you with the skills and qualities to ensure you are a rounded individual and allow you to achieve your personal and career goals. Throughout the year we track the students’ progress to identify intervention needs. We also track our sixth form leavers future plans, whether that be university, employment or apprenticeships.

Our Priorities are:
  •  To offer you a curriculum designed to accommodate different career paths and allow maximum flexibility and choice;
  • To engage you with high standards of teaching and support;
  • To challenge you to achieve the highest grades possible in your studies;.
  • To encourage you to engage with enrichment opportunities to support your personal development;
  • To support you to develop responsibility and maturity, encouraging you to contribute positively to the life of the school;
  • To help you develop skills and self-discipline required for adult life;
  • To guide you to make informed choices about your future.
