Book reviews written by students are designed for students
We all like to read reviews before we buy or try something and recommendations from your peers are far more relevant than from someone you don’t know.
To encourage students to read something new, a ‘book recommendation competition’ was launched by our library where students could write a review on their favourite book. The winning reviews will then be displayed in the school library for other students to see.
Congratulations to the following students for their winning reviews and received reward vouchers for their work.
1st – Fearne Connell (Year 9) reviewed Cross by James Patterson
2nd – Rosy Livingston (Year 9) reviewed The Monsters of Rookhaven by Padraig Kenny
3rd – Amelia Barwell (Year 7) reviewed In Darkling Wood by Emma Carroll
