Donating Christmas Hampers to the local day care centre and foodbank

One of the amazing festive activities we have at Bourne Academy is to give something back to the local community by creating ‘Christmas Hampers’ for the local Bourne Foodbank and the elderly people who use The Butterfield Centre in Bourne.

Last year we donated 60 hampers generously packed full of festive cheer. When all of these small items come together in one hamper – it becomes a very generous and appreciated gift at a time of year when some people may be lonely or in need. This act of kindness will definitely be much appreciated at Christmas.

Each form will have the same sized box to dress in their very own Christmas theme, whether that is using wrapping paper or painting and decorating. Then students in each form are asked to donate an item to put in the hamper. We would like to thank Warners Group Printers in Bourne for kindly donating these boxes to use.

The Christmas hampers are scheduled to be delivered to the Bourne Foodbank and The Butterfield Centre in the last full week of term so everyone should bring in their donations by Friday 13th December 2024 at the latest.
