Gymnasts reach new heights in the Superzone Trampoline Competition

The South Lincolnshire Superzone Trampoline Competition was held at Bourne Academy on Thursday 17th November 2022 and we had 15 of our Year 9, Year 10 and Year 11 students take part in the competition.

Our students competed in four categories including the Elite and Advanced levels and special mentions goes to Alfie Rosam-Lee who finished in first place in the Elite category and Archie Fuller who finished first place in the Advanced category. Alfie has also recently competed in a National Trampoline and DMT League Finals at the Olympic Velodrome in London.

The Superzone competition is a team sport where the top five scores were then added together to make a team total, which gave Bourne Academy fourth place. Well done to all of the competitors who took part.

Ms Ged Coles, SLAT Director of Sport & Physical Education said “The students were a true credit to the school and performed extremely well in their routines. Each student performed in front of all the competitors in complete silence, which is incredibly nerve racking for them all. They all took this in their stride and performed to the very best of their ability.”
