Multi-Agency Day delivered by Lincolnshire Stay Safe Partnership

Our Year 8 students benefited from an educational Multi-Agency Day where the normal subject timetable was replaced with a whole day of engaging workshops.

The day was delivered as part of our comprehensive PSHE (Personal, Social, Health & Economic) programme to educate students on a variety of topics, which are age appropriate for each Year group.

The Multi-Agency Day sessions were organised by the Lincolnshire Stay Safe Partnership who have a team of experienced guest speakers that work with young people in schools across the county. Our Year 8 students benefited from their expert knowledge when they had five informative workshops covering Anti-social Behaviour, Fire Safety, Online Safety, Alcohol & Drug Awareness and Healthy Relationships.

There were opportunities for students to participate and contribute during the workshops plus ask insightful questions. All students were extremely respectful in each of these sessions and we received excellent feedback regarding the students conduct as they really engaged in the discussions and took each topic seriously.

Our PSHE programme was one of the strengths highlighted in the recent Ofsted report for Bourne Academy, where it stated “Leaders prioritise students personal development. They build students confidence and resilience. The PSHE education curriculum, which leaders have redeveloped, is highly ambitious. Pupils are well prepared for life in modern Britain.”
