PSHE/SMSC programmes of study
Our two year rolling PSHE/SMSC programmes of study are designed to provide students with a structured and challenging learning programme that supports their development and progression in line with their future learning and career plans.
These programmes are additional to regular lessons and will be delivered during tutor times, assemblies, through student voice and in admin, IAG and careers sessions.
Study programmes will be individually tailored to cover current topics/trends, but will typically combine the elements shown below.

TERMS 3 to 5: Key Curriculum Intervention (Year 12 & 13)

These sessions comprise of revision techniques and they often complete quizzes with some friendly competition between the year groups. During this time, assemblies continue to take place and students can continue with their reading and mentoring ambassador roles.
TERM 6: Careers & Future Destinations (Year 12 only)
In term 6, students in Year 12 are supported with their UCAS applications and Post-18 next steps. This involves sessions to research universities and apprenticeships / the world of work, to help the students decide what is the best next step for them. If they decide to apply to university they begin the UCAS application process and are given advice on how to write a personal statement.
