Wear a Christmassy item to school in aid of Save the Children
To spread some festive cheer amongst the school community and help raise monies in aid of Save the Children, we are holding a ‘Wear a Christmas Item Day’ on Thursday 12th December 2024.
Save the Children is a remarkable organisation dedicated to improving the lives of children around the world, ensuring they have the essentials they need to grow up healthy, educated, and safe. Our ‘Wear a Christmas Item Day’ is a fun and meaningful way for us to support their vital work.
We are asking students to support the fundraising for Save the Children by wearing one Christmas item alongside their normal school uniform and make a small donation of £1.
These are some examples of how the students can get involved:
- Wear a Christmas Festive Jumper on top of their usual school shirts and tie
- Wear Christmas Socks, Christmas Tie or Christmas Headband with their normal school uniform
- Wear a Santa / Elf Hat with their normal school uniform
Note that this is not a non-uniform day, and students will still need to wear their school uniform, or for Years 12 and 13, they will follow the Sixth Form dress code.
Information about the ‘Wear a Christmas Item Day’ with additional information have been sent to parents/carers via ParentMail. Note that this is an optional event and because we didn’t want to burden parents/carers with the need of buying a new Christmas jumper for this charity day, we have extended the items students may wish to wear.
We would like to thank everyone in advance for their support and let’s make this Christmas a memorable one for children everywhere!
