The school musical for 2023 will be… Little Shop of Horrors

We are delighted to officially announce that the school musical for 2023 will be ‘Little Shop of Horrors’ by Alan Menken and there will be three evening performances from Wednesday 12th July to Friday 14th July 2023.

Over 100 of our students auditioned last year and the cast list have been announced so rehearsals are now well underway.

It promises to be a highly entertaining show with fantastic songs and puppetry. The story follows a meek floral assistant, Seymour Krelborn, who stumbles across a new breed of plant he names ‘Audrey II’ – after his co-worker crush. This exotic plant proves good for business, but gradually he’s horrified to learn that it craves blood and flesh and must satisfy its appetite!

The original play has been thrilling audiences since the 80’s when it first appeared on the Broadway and West End and became a cult classic after the film version was a box office smash in 1986.
