For the last 6 months, students have noticed a new building being built in between K Block and the PE changing rooms.
Some people have mistaken this for a new classroom block, but this impressive building will actually be a brand new two-storey PE changing room facility. There will be two very spacious changing rooms that will include underfloor heating as we aim to make participating in sports more comfortable for our students.
Matt Sammy, Head of School viewing progress this week
Matt Sammy who is new Head of School at Bourne Academy had a behind the scenes tour of how the work has been progressing to schedule. He said “It is encouraging to see how the Trust are continuously investing in outstanding facilities for our students. The new changing rooms will be well utilised during PE lessons, for the many sports clubs we offer and by visiting teams to our school. We are all looking forward to the changing rooms opening next term.”
As you can see from these photos, it will not be very long before the changing rooms can be used by students so look out for more photos and information when this facility is officially opened.
