Short Story Competition winner awarded prize by Cedar Care Home
The Cedar Care Home in Bourne have been running a Short Story Competition with local schools and we were delighted to hear that Year 8 student Fearne Connell was one of the competition winners.
Fearne’s short story was full of suspense and intrigue, which is why it was so well received by the residents from the Cedar Care Home who were judging the competition and awarded her second place.
The residents from the Cedar Care Home visited Bourne Academy today to present Fearne with her prize of a £10 book voucher for Bourne Bookshop.
Dawn Parrott, Activities Co-ordinator from the Cedar Care Home said “It has been fabulous to read the short stories from the students. Our residents really enjoyed listening and ready them. The residents loved coming to the school to present the prize and meet the winner.”
