Jeans for Genes Day raises awareness and money for charity

Jeans for Genes Day is a national campaign that raises awareness of the challenges faced by those who live with a genetic condition. 1 in 25 young people has a genetic disorder that affects their life, which is the equivalent to one person in every class!

To help increase awareness of genetic disorders and raise monies for charity, our Sixth Formers swapped their suits and professional business attire to wear a pair of jeans for the day.

By making a minimum donation of £1 our students raised an impressive £200 for the charity and this goes towards the charity to help fund specialist nurses and equipment to support those with genetic conditions.
