Potterheads celebrate with Harry Potter themed event in the library

With more than 500 million copies of the Harry Potter books sold worldwide, it is not surprising that the library love celebrating with fellow ‘Potterheads’.

During morning break and lunchtime, Librarian Mrs Arden organised a host of Harry Potter related activities including fun quizzes and word-searches, learning to draw the magical Hogwarts school, designing a dragon’s egg or bookmark and even trying on the Sorting Hat to see what House they should go to.

The sessions were attended by over 40 Year 7 and Year 8 students (as well as Potterhead staff) and there was a great atmosphere as die-hard fans of the books all joined in together. Everyone who participated received achievement points and there were bonus prizes supplied by the library.
