Boys Futsal Team win NINE in a row to be crowned tournament winners

It might have been cold, wet and windswept, but that did not stop our Year 7 Futsal teams giving their all as they stepped on the pitch in their first futsal tournament.

Futsal is a fast paced and skilful game that is similar to 5-a-side indoor football but uses a smaller and heavier ball. It is great for developing close control ball techniques that can improve performance when playing traditional football.

In this inter-school tournament, we had two teams competing and despite the challenging conditions, both teams battled hard in every game, demonstrating their grit and perseverance.

A massive congratulations to Bourne Academy Team 1 (in the orange kit) who were undefeated in the entire tournament winning all NINE of their games by scoring 26 goals and only conceding three goals.

From the very first whistle, the team demonstrated great skill, teamwork, and unwavering focus as they took each game in their stride. Their energy and determination were nothing short of outstanding and their confidence grew from game-to-game.
