Bedrock Learning CEO discusses the next generation of literacy platform

We had the honour of welcoming Bedrock Learning founder and CEO, Mr Aaron Leary and his team to Bourne Academy this term to meet with students and Trust staff.

Mr Leary was given a tour of the school, followed by time with a focus group of Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students who use the Bedrock learning platform. Our students had the opportunity to provide their own feedback on the platform and discuss the impact it has had on their literacy comprehension as well as ideas for improvement. Mr Leary and his team were impressed by both the tour and the focus group, commenting on the outstanding behaviour and insightfulness of our students.

As an award-winning digital literacy curriculum, Bedrock Learning is trusted by over a thousand schools and hundreds of thousands of students worldwide. Developed by educators to accelerate vocabulary, grammar and reading comprehension, the platform provides interactive, adaptive content that is now a cornerstone of our KS3 and KS4 English home learning strategy.

Mr Leary then met with the Trust’s Literacy Leads and delivered a fascinating presentation in which he discussed the next generation of Bedrock Learning that will be launched from September 2026.

Thanks to advanced AI reteaching algorithms, the platform will provide a more personalised, efficient and data-rich learning experience aimed at improving long-term retention and reading comprehension. This cutting-edge technology uses AI neural networks specifically to mimic the way a teacher scaffolds their student’s learning, ensuring that self-efficacy and appropriate levels of challenge are achieved.

We are extremely excited about the implications of a more adaptive and expansive version of Bedrock Learning, making Bedrock more accessible and intuitive for our young learners.
