Audition for the end of year musical 'Everybody's Talking About Jamie'

One of the great things about our end of year musical productions at Bourne Academy is that we have nearly 100 students involved from leading roles, supporting cast, dancers, singers, musicians, backstage and technical crew.

Our teaching staff can spot potential and will work with students to give them these incredible opportunities and ensure they are ready for the big stage.

After school from 3.15pm to 5.00pm on Thursday 23rd October 2025 in room G12, we will be holding student auditions for ‘Everybody’s Talking About Jamie’, which will be the end of year musical in July 2026.

Students from all year groups (from Year 7 to Year 13) are welcome to be involved and you don’t have to be studying performing arts either. We are looking for talent, but also students who will be committed to after school rehearsals over the next 9 months.

Everybody’s Talking About Jamie: Teen Edition is a full-length adaptation of the hit West End musical, which has been specially adapted for teen actors. The story follows Jamie who overcomes bullying and prejudice with the support of his mum and friends to step into the spotlight and be his true self. This is a vibrant, high-energy show celebrating individuality, courage and self-expression through catchy songs and dance!

Students can speak to Mrs Parker, Mr Brindley, Mr Swinn, Ms O’Brien and Miss Willcock in the Performing Arts and Music departments if they have any questions.
