Bourne Academy host the annual Superzone Trampoline Competition

Bourne Academy were proud to host the annual South Lincolnshire Superzone Trampoline Competition, which was held on Thursday 28th April 2022 where schools from across the county were invited to compete in the novice, intermediate, advanced and elite competitions.

Our school had a team of 13 students from Year 7 and 8 take part and for many of them, this was the first ever competition due to Covid last year so our students competed in the novice and intermediate categories.

We were also very proud to have Alfie Rosam-Lee who is Year 10 student participate as a qualified judge. This was an outstanding honour for Alfie who is a fantastic trampolinist and was requested by the national judge to come and assist with the championship judging.

Ms Ged Coles, Director or Sport and PE said “There were lots of nerves in the room but as each student stepped up to perform, they worked really hard at their routine. The whole team were a real credit to the school and we are very proud of all their achievements today. Special mentions go to Kaia Gibbons in Year 7 who came 7th overall and Fern Richards in Year 8 who came 13th in the Novice competition.
