Live music gig highlights performance skills and techniques
Our Sixth Form BTEC Music students were treated to night out at the Stamford Arts Centre last week to watch a live gig from Tom Maguire & The Brassholes.
The aim of the trip was to expose our Music students to performance skills and techniques in live setting.
The band themselves are a funk band with a line-up of brass, keys, drums, bass and fronted by lead singer and guitarist Tom Maguire.
The students were treated to a high-energy performance, complete with audience participation that included Mr Brindley (pictured above) being pulled out of the crowd to dazzle everyone with his drumming expertise!
Not only did the students have a great time watching the band, but they even had the opportunity to meet the band backstage for chat at the end of the evening.
