Sixth Former selected to Umpire for European Hockey Internationals

Bourne Academy Sixth Form student Mia Dewing is getting the recognition she deserves as she manages to juggle a blossoming Hockey Umpire career alongside her studies.

Since Mia first starting umpiring in 2019 and progressed through the England Hockey Young Umpire programme, she has been moving up the ranks and has now been promoted to the European Hockey Federation (EHF) list of England Umpires.

This fantastic achievement will involve umpiring European international fixtures for outdoor junior Hockey tournaments, and even more remarkable that she has achieved this at such a young age.

We know that Mia will continue to impress those who have already realised the talent and dedication she has demonstrated to make it to the top of the game.
