Gymnasts perform jumps, drops and twists at Superzone Trampoline Competition
A group of 14 talented gymnasts represented Bourne Academy by taking part in the annual South Lincolnshire Superzone Trampoline Competition.
Our students took part in the inter-school competition across four different categories (novice, intermediate, advanced, and elite). This involved the students performing a set solo routine in front of all competitors and were judged based on their individual performances.
The Superzone competition is a team sport where the top four individual scores are added together to give a combined score.
Overall, Bourne Academy finished in fourth place and a special mention goes to Eva Godderidge in Year 9 who impressed the judges with her confident routine as she finished third place in the notice category.
Miss Lyn-Kew, Teacher of PE and Science said “I am extremely proud of every single student as they all demonstrated great sportsmanship, overcame their nerves and were supportive of every other performer. Their enthusiasm and dedication created a fantastic atmosphere throughout the event.”
