Year 7 Bedrock Vocabulary

We are very pleased to be starting Bedrock Vocabulary with our year 7. It is an on-line programme which is completely cross curricular, using texts on a wide range of non-fiction topics to expand thinking and vocabulary. It is being run through English as a homework activity.

Importantly, the programme is differentiated for every individual student and incorporates recap activities and a ‘fast track’ route for the more able. Year 7 parents have been sent an information letter via ‘in touch’ with details of how to logon to check their child’s learning. We have also attached a short powerpoint that explains how Bedrock works. We are excited to see how our students progress once it is embedded.
