Year 8 football team are undefeated in SLAT Games with three sheets
After the recent success of the Year 9 Boys Football Team winning the SLAT Sports Games, it was the turn of the Year 8 Boys Football Team to compete against the other schools in the Trust.
This is a friendly tournament where each year group can then earn points that go towards an overall league table featuring the results from all years.
Congratulations to the Year 8 team as they were the tournament winners by remaining undefeated and keeping three clean sheets with outstanding defensive performances.
Bourne Academy kicked off the tournament with a strong 1–0 victory over Giles Academy followed by an excellent 2–0 win against Spalding Academy as they demonstrating both attacking quality and defensive resilience. In their final match, they secured a solid 0–0 draw against Cowley Academy as they then finished top of the mini-tournament.
